Privacy Policy

FitIQ (the "App") is operated by Metellus Productions ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using FitIQ you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account. When you create an account we receive your email address (email sign-up) or a private identifier from Sign in with Apple.
- Profile & goals. The information you provide during onboarding — such as sex, height, weight, training goal, experience level, and how often you train — used to personalize your plan and targets.
- Photos. The physique progress photos and food photos you choose to capture for AI analysis.
- Fitness data. Your workouts, logged meals, scan results, and progress (XP, streak, ranks).
- Usage & device data. Basic app interaction, device model, operating system, and diagnostic/crash information.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your physique scores, estimate the calories and macros in your meals, and build your training plan.
- To track your progress and personalize the experience to your goals.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
- To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
3. How we handle your photos
When you take a physique or food photo, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider (Google's Gemini API) solely to compute your scores or estimate your meal's macros. FitIQ does not use Face ID, facial recognition, or any biometric identification, and we do not extract or store facial geometry or biometric templates. We do not sell your photos. Per Google's paid API terms, content submitted to the Gemini API is not used to train Google's models and is not retained beyond fulfilling the request. You are asked to grant camera permission before any photo is captured.
4. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the App, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Gemini — AI analysis of physique and food photos.
- Google Firebase — account authentication and secure storage of your profile and progress.
- Superwall — subscription paywall and entitlement management.
- Apple — App Store payments and Sign in with Apple.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above to operate FitIQ, or where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information and fitness data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and associated data are permanently removed.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access & deletion. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data in the App under Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us.
- Permissions. You control camera and notification access at any time in your device's iOS Settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data — contact us to exercise them.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
9. Children
FitIQ is not intended for anyone under the age of 17, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above.
